The PMT Driving Coach is a special feature designed to help drivers drive more efficiently. The PMT coaches drivers into better driving habits by providing real time visual and audio feedback as to how efficient a driver is driving. The PMT driving coach also provides the driver with a "grade," on how efficiently they drove during a particular trip. This makes driving efficiently, constructive and fun.  Drivers can use the PMT Driving Coach to coach themselves into improved driving habits. The large PMT gauge area is where the Driving Coach information is displayed. The diagram below illustrates the information that is collected and displayed by the Coach.

Real Time Fuel Economy: The first PMT bar graph displays fuel economy in gallons per hour or liters per 100 kilometers in real time.

Wasted Energy: The waste energy graph, middle graph, displays acceleration and deceleration. The center line of this graph represents zero wasted energy. If a driver accerates too quickly or decelerates too quickly they will see a bar extend outword from zero indicating energy wasted.

Grade: The driving Coach offers the user a grade to show them how well or how efficiently they are driving. The Driving will display one of six possible grades. Grades are based on an average overall driving efficiency rating.
